WOODBRIDGE, ONT. – The National Day of Mourning is April 28 and this weekend ceremonies will be taking place across ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø in memory of workers who have tragically lost their lives, suffered injuries or faced illnesses because of workplace incidents.
The Toronto and York Region Labour Council held a Day of Mourning event April 26 at the Woodbridge Memorial Arena.

ANGELA GISMONDI - Sean Blake, union representative with the Carpenters’ District Council of Ontario, spoke to those in attendance about the history of the Day of Mourning and the importance of improving jobsite health and safety conditions, while striving for better legislation and to protect workers.
