TORONTO — The Ontario government has announced it is planning to spend $325 million in water infrastructure projects to help build up to 107,000 new homes across the province.ÌýÌý
The funding is being delivered through the  (HEWSF), which helps municipalities build, repair, rehabilitate and expand critical drinking water, wastewater and stormwater infrastructure, a release reads.Ìý
Through the second intake of the fund, 23 water infrastructure projects across the province are being supported.
In total, Ontario is investing nearly $1.3 billion, through the first and second intakes of HEWSF, to support 77 water infrastructure projects that will help municipalities build approximately 600,000 new homes.
