Manitoba speech from the throne set for Nov. 19

WINNIPEG — The Manitoba government will unveil its plans for the year ahead in a speech from the throne on Nov. 19.

“In the last year we have delivered on a number of promises, from making progress on fixing our health-care system to making life more affordable for Manitobans,” said Manitoba Premier Wab Kinew in a statement. “I am excited to share our vision in continuing the work on issues that matter most to Manitobans through our throne speech.”

The premier noted the government’s priorities in the coming year will be reflected in the speech including a continued focus on improving health care, growing Manitoba’s economy, improving public safety and making life more affordable for Manitobans.

The second session of the 43rd legislature will convene at 1:30 p.m. on Nov. 19 with the reading of the speech from the throne by Lt.-Gov. Anita Neville.
