PORT COQUITLAM, B.C. — The City of Port Coquitlam will be hosting a grand reopening of the transformed Leigh Square on April 4 from 6 to 9 p.m.
The redevelopment project began in the fall of 2024 and includes enhancements to McAllister Street, Veterans Park and Donald Pathway.
 The square now features:
- An extended Donald Pathway connecting Wilson and McAllister Avenues.
- Fully accessible pathways and surfaces.
- Improved lighting and clear sightlines for enhanced safety.
- New seating areas.
- A designated area for a future playground feature.
- Landscaping and a water feature.
- A rehabilitated streetscape on Leigh Square Place.
- A new stage facing city hall.
The reopening celebration will include a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 8:30 p.m., live music, food vendors and family-friendly activities.
